Media Dept Fast: Day 1 – Meeting the Lord

The last 5 days have been powerful. Wednesday night I wrestled some things out with the Lord related to deep places in my soul. I decided some time ago to believe that He actually is good and true, so if things are not working out in my life related to Him, it can not be His fault.  The wrestling that night was rather messy and loud, but when I decide to cave, then He always wins and I am always thankful when He wins.

The next morning one of the apprentices came into the office, desperately emotional. We talked for sometime and she literally began to repeat to me the wrestling that I’d had with the Lord the night before, and I was able to speak straight into her heart while marveling at His kindness. Had I not been willing to go to my Father the night before I would have had nothing but pain to offer her!

That night seemed to launch some things spiritually, and I’ve been in an interesting swirl of dreams, powerfully confirming prophetic words, and favor in sweet blessings from the Lord, all related to what has been in my heart for the last 4 months.

Let me tell you: when He bids us ‘come’ He bids us ‘Come and die!’ But let me tell you, He gives us new and everlasting life! He does not leave us as our sins deserve and He does not leave us to grope in darkness as blind men. The Lord is our Shepherd, our Father and Friend and He leads us by the hand.

The last 12 months have been hard. But it has been worth the wrestle, it has been worth the emotion, the struggle and the learning. Let me tell you: His name is faithful, His nature is to be faithful. And He will do in us everything that He has promised. AND He brings us out of the wilderness, we don’t have to stay there. It does NOT always have to be hard!

As for me, I will continue to seek and let me encourage you: Continue to seek Him! Our home is only where He is, go with Him. He wants you to be with Him right where He is, doing what He is doing, with Him. The wrestle, the battle, the fighting and striving, doing it wrong and learning how to do it right only to do it wrong again: it is always, always worth the encounter.
